Heavy duty, bus, truck and rail lifts

Capacities to 640,000 lbs. Transit buses, motor coaches, Class 8 trucks, refuse fleets, industrial machinery and light rail.

Autolift specializes in heavy duty lifts.

We work with PKS, who manufacture a wide variety of lifts used across sectors — from small passenger vehicle lifts and city transit through heavy duty lifts for industrial vehicle and machinery maintenance facilities. The product line includes heavy duty two-post lifts, mobile column lifts, four-post drive-on lifts, scissor lifts and inground lifts.

With over 50 years of collective experience in the lift industry, PKS has built a reputation for manufacturing heavy duty lifts, using current technologies in lift automation controls and hydraulic fluid power, with the ability to design or customize any lift.

Lifting a transit bus or a rail car is a different discipline from lifting a passenger vehicle. Capacities are higher, installations usually involve excavation, and the facilities are often public agencies with their own procurement and inspection requirements. We have been doing this work in California since 1939.

Lift types

What we supply and service

Triple post bus & truck lifts
Surface-mounted, sized to the wheelbase and axle loading of transit buses, school buses, motor coaches and heavy trucks.
Inground bus lifts
Keep the shop floor clear when the lift is down. The standard for bus barns and high-traffic maintenance bays. We handle excavation, cassette or pit installation and commissioning.
Inground wide drive-through
Wide-set inground lifts for vehicles driven straight through the bay and equipment too wide for conventional post spacing.
Heavy duty two-post lifts
High capacity two-post lifts for medium duty trucks, box trucks, shuttles and work vehicles.
Mobile column lifts
Portable column sets for flexible bay configurations and mixed fleets.
Flush-mount scissor lifts
Sit level with the floor for bays that need unobstructed movement when the lift is not in use.
Wash bay scissor lifts
Built for standing water, detergent and constant humidity, which destroy ordinary equipment.
Train & light rail lifts
Lifting systems for rail maintenance facilities, including light rail and transit rail applications.

Supporting systems

Heavy duty facilities need more than lifts. We also install and service bus and train wash systems, air compressors and distribution piping, lubrication and fluid dispensing systems, waste oil handling, exhaust extraction, bulk storage tanks and overhead cranes.

Inspections

Bus and truck lifts fall under the same ANSI annual inspection requirement as passenger car lifts, and our ALI Certified Lift Inspectors are qualified to inspect them. For transit agencies and school districts we provide the documentation your safety and compliance records require. More on inspections.
